Day 10
Huili, Mingna, Alex and I reported to work at 10am at the Bistro. We were helping to get it ready to open for business on Friday. We moved cartons of ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, salt&pepper to the Bistro. Before we really got started, we discovered a dead bird on one of the chairs.
According to Alex, it probably couldnt find its nest and starved/froze to death overnight, so poor thing.

Mingna attempted to give Alex a taekwondo kick on the way to lunch
Oops, Huili was blocked by me

After knocking off at 4.30pm, Alex and I went to the gals' room to check what time they ended work. I suddenly remembered that I haven introduced their dorm yet so I took the chance to snap a few photos of their dorm.

After lunch the gals went to the kitchen in the main lodge to wrap more cutlery for the Bistro. Alex and I were tasked to power wash all the chairs and tables since many had cobwebs on them.

Alex commented their dorm resembles that of a brothel, judge it for yourselves, haha!
We proceeded to have dinner after washing up
Jiamin's friend, Sun Lu, who came to find her from Wisconsin
We waited for Xuemin to finish her dinner after she knocked off then we made our way to downtown in search of ice-cream from Joann's Fudge. Sam came along too.
There were so many kids near the statue at the foot of Fort Mackinac

zoomed-out view
Each scoop of ice-cream costs 1.50USD(after 1USD discount/cup for Mission Point employees). But the shop attendant Emily was so nice to charge us 3USD for 3 cups of ice-cream after exchanging a few words with Alex, discount on top of discount! We can even choose 2 different flavours for one scoop!
After satisfying our tastebuds, we went to into a few clothing shops trying to get a Mackinac Island jacket for Alfie as he is leaving Mission Point soon. We didnt find a suitable one and decided to buy a cap and waterbottle for him from the Activities center souvenir shop on the next day instead.
Btw it was the warmest day ever since we set foot on this island, abt 20 deg C so Alex and I were dressed in berms and flip-flops.

We made our way back to the resort and dropped by the Lakeside Marketplace where Stella was on shift. Alex and I shared a cup of creamice mango, it tasted like mango ice blended.
After finishing the drink, it was dorm sweet dorm for all of us!
