After checking out of our room in the morning, we left for Danshui to take the ferry to 渔人码头.

We picked up our rental car at about 5pm and setted off to 大溪桥 in Taoyuan.


We stayed over at Lydia's friend's place in Taichung for the night.

21 Sep Monday
That's me packing my bags on a Monday morning b4 we left the house.

22 Sep Tuesday
Visited another two 古迹 in the morning b4 setting off to 高雄.

We specially drove 2 hours from 高雄 to Taichung to fetch Derek and Erica who had just arrived back in Taiwan. Seriously I didn't expect to be able to see them again in Taiwan b4 I return to Singapore. It was great nevertheless!


23 Sep Wednesday
After packing my stuff in the morning, we setted off from Tainan at around 10am for Taoyuan Airport.

So this officially marks the end of my America and Taiwan adventures. It feels great to be back on familiar grounds and with my loved ones. It feels like I have not been away for so long, I have merely woken up from a long long dream, a dream that I will never forget with all the friendships made and the experiences of a lifetime! This will be my last post on this blog. I would like to thank all my loyal readers and hope that you all have found my blog to be entertaining in a way or another.

After a gruelling 13-hr flight from San Francisco, we finally arrived in Taiwan. The flight was made to feel even longer because there wasn't any personal in-flight entertainment.

Ximending again!

We'll be leaving Taipei to explore some other parts of Taiwan b4 returning to Taoyuan Airport to take my return flight to Singapore on 23 Sep Wednesday. This will be one of my last few posts on this blog.

After a 10-hr Amtrak bus-train-bus journey, we finally arrived in San Francisco, the City by the Bay!

We went to Fisherman's Wharf to collect our passes to the City Sightseeing tours booked earlier and hopped on for the 6pm night tour.

The package we booked includes the Alcatraz Island tour too. We were scheduled for the 11am ferry to the island. The island served as a lighthouse, a military fort, a military prison and a federal prison in the past.

I am currently spending my 1st night in Taipei after reaching here at 6am this morning. I still need to get over a bit of jet lag though.
